I knew it was coming! Not only socks, but a sweater too! Congratulations and best wishes. Can hardly wait to see the color photos and read the details!
Congratulations! What a beautiful ring! May you have many happy years together (oh, the things some people will do for handknits :) ).
And if you do knit a wedding shawl, make sure you have a dress (or at least a dress style) picked out first. As much as I like my Tina Shawl, something about it just didn't work with the dress at all, so I ended up not wearing it.
Congratulations Theresa!! Such a surprise (well not really - it was coming...) to open your blog and see your beautiful ring! May you have a joyful marriage!
So does this mean I have to start knitting YOUR chuppah soon? Perhaps the better gift would be to not make one for you that you would then feel obligated to use. Also since neither of you is Jewish, it would be somewhat unnecessary. I think I'll leave the knitting to you and will instead go hit up NY's finest rare book stores :) You found your Gilbert!
We are as thrilled to have this wonderful new son, as we were having a beautiful daughter 26 years ago. And, no tuition expense or childbirth anguish!!
PS: If you've been wondering why I haven't ben commenting, I just realized Google reader hasn't been updating me with your posts! Aaargh! I'm sending you an email...
I am very, very happy for you and your inamorato. May you be as blessed and as happy in your marriage as my husband and I have been in ours for the past 23 years.
I was aiming to be comment #100, but I don't think I can put it off any longer. Congratulations, Theresa! You've been obviously glowing with happiness -- even through your blog -- pretty much from the moment you met the Beau, and I couldn't be happier for the two of you. Here's to a super fast six months of flight school followed by a long, leisurely life together.
