Darn socks!
Sorry, that wasn't funny. Or original. But it had to be said.
May your socks rest in peace.
But, but, but... Surely there must be a way...to (gulp)... save them?
Oh no! The horror! The mindless destruction. Poor Theresa, how will you get through this? {hugs}
Clearly you need to knit more socks.
I just had a pr. like that - I picked up the stitches using a #0 and cut off the whole toe decrease and reknit it- even in a different yarn! It was worth doing it as they were size 13 socks!
Sigh. Such a shame. Only 99 left to assuage your grief.
Holey Socks, that is a tragedy! (Can't let Rachel be the only bad punster.)
A much worn, loved sock!!! So much better than an unworn perfect sock...
This must have been a much loved pair! We'll be waiting to see what the solution is.
In these situations my grandmother used to rip out the whole foot and reknit from the cuff down. She was thrifty like that.
wowzahs! That's a hole! Is there nothing that can be done? Is it worth it to surgically remove the toe and knit a new one? Or are they entering the land of no-repair?
Yep, that's bad! Will you trash them completely or try to salvage some of the yarn for another use?
Clearly you have made many efforts to prolong the life of this sock. What is the next course of action?
