  • I'm Knitting

When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt.
    -Henry Kaiser

I haven't knit a stitch in two days. This doctoring this is hard work, and lots of it. And while I do have a little respite tonight (I did *only* work 14 hours today), I'm going to go knit with the knitting gals tonight instead of blogging. I'm sure you'll all agree that's the way to go.

Oh, and speaking of work and knitting, the affianced-beau and I are off to Madison next week to visit his folks and roam his old stomping grounds. We're thrilled to be getting our first vacation of the year (even 5 days looks good from here!) And you'll all be pleased to know that his mom has recently re-taken up knitting and has a long list of yarn stores for us to visit. No one is more excited than the beau! Can you believe he's never been to a yarn store?

Now that you are going to be married, it's time to convert your Muggle, isn't it? He doesn't have to knit, only to understand the obsession!

I think mine actually enjoys the yarn store - he loves to pick out sock yarn (as he does almost every time we go in), and when he was on a bike ride last weekend he ran out of water, so he stopped by the store to fill up his bottle - cracked me up! Enjoy your vacation - you've earned it!

Knitting wins over blogging: wise choice. How nice that you and your future MIL share not only a love for the beau but for knitting too. The inlaw situation bodes well! Have a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

This is your chance to show him all kinds of sock yarn and let him pick his favorite.

Have a great vacation (you both deserve it!). Special K will do fiber festivals but not yarn stores. I guess you can't always have it all....

He's *never* been in a yarn store? Marathon yarn tourism is a great way to to...um...strengthen your relationship. I bet he picks out sock yarn at every store. Knitting Mother-in-laws are a great plus. Have a great vacation!
